Help NOACA plan for and evaluate active transportation projects! Volunteers are needed to count non-motorized traffic at numerous locations on May 15, 16, & 17 from 5 to 7pm.
With the generous help of volunteers, NOACA conducts bicycle and pedestrian counts throughout Northeast Ohio during the months of May and September annually. These counts are conducted in order to accomplish the following program objectives:
- Gauge regional and local levels of bicycling and walking
- Identify trends based on count data to aid the planning and design of multimodal transportation infrastructure
- Aid in the prioritization of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and planning projects.
All volunteers will receive a custom-printed NOACA 50th Anniversary Specialized Purist 22oz water bottle, and volunteers who count two days will also receive a $20 gift card to the athletic store of their choice.
