As if Mother Nature flipped a switch, we went from bare to blooming in just a matter of days. The delayed spring is not too out of the ordinary except we have had a couple early springs in the last few years. We are quickly catching up to the normal bloom times for our plants so it is a great time to see some early spring flowers like daffodils and hyacinths that are still lingering and some of the May blooms like tulips, magnolias, PJM rhododendrons, quince and more each day. Take advantage of our tram to see the garden if you aren’t very mobile or would like to learn more about the nearly 500 species in the garden – it runs Thursdays 10am-1pm and Sundays 1-4pm and some special Wednesdays 10am-1pm (23rd, 30th, 6th). Free to ride, free to visit, free to explore!
