Tree Trotter (Race #3) Results

SHEFFIELD VILLAGE– The third and final of three Tree Trotter 5k Races took place on Sunday, August 17th at the Pine Tree Picnic Area of French Creek Reservation in Sheffield Village. The scenic and shaded course was located on a natural trail with the gun going off at 9:00am.

A total of 37 participants traversed the winding woods trail, crossing bridges and climbing hills and stairs. Each participant completed the 5,000 meter course including the top finisher setting a NEW Tree Trotter 5k Race record.

Andrew Dixon was the overall champion with a winning and record setting time of 19:44. The previous record time of 20:47 was set in the July race at Kopf Family Reservation.

The top female overall finisher was Michele Baron, who finished 11th overall with a time of 25:45.

The top finishers in each age group took home medals and were the following:
Male 24 & Under: Andrew Dixon (1st overall/19:44)
Female 24 & Under: Solaine Lopez (28th/32:24)
Male 25-34: John Sedivec (2nd/20:29)
Female 25-34: Christina Sadowski (21st/30:21)
Male 35-44: Peter Swenson (3rd/20:37)
Female 35-44: Cassandra Mawson (20th/29:25)
Male 45-54: Nick Malakar (15th/27:25)
Female 45-54: Michele Baron (11th/25:45)
Male 55 & Over: John Daley (7th/23:29)
Female 55 & Over: Colleen Daley (23rd/30:42)
