The magic of the season was all around us on Monday, November 20th as Miller Nature Preserve members mingled among blooming orchids and luscious red poinsettias. After weeks of hard work, the Miller Nature Preserve Holiday Display was ready for viewing. Decorated trees, softly glowing lights, and shining ornaments filled the lush Conservatory – and Miller members – with the holiday spirit.
The theme this year is reminiscent of a classic holiday: red, white, silver, and gold decorations create a traditional, homey feel nestled against the tropical greens of the plants in the Conservatory. Various holiday trees stand tall amidst the growing flowers, adding a seasonal touch to the already richly planted landscape. Snowflakes flutter in the air as the glass doors open to allow more visitors through.
Providing previews for members is important here at Miller. Our members are like family: we see them often and encourage them to participate in programs as much as possible. Previews help to give members a sneak peek into new activities, events, and decor at the Preserve. It is also a wonderful way to get feedback on recent events, get suggestions for upcoming activities, and cultivate relationships with community members. It’s also fun!
A good time was had by all!
