Maple Sugaring school registration NOW OPEN!

Recommended for students in K-2nd grade, this hour-long field trip involves discussions on history, plant biology and chemistry.  Your students will discover the secrets of maple sugaring by a brief indoor lecture, hiking to the sugar bush and collecting sap with a Naturalist, and visiting the Sugar Shack to see the sap being converted into syrup. Includes hands-on activities along the way, including a taste-testing of real maple syrup!
Maple SugaringThis late winter/early spring program is being scheduled weekdays at the Carlisle Visitor Center in LaGrange from Monday February 27th through Wednesday March 8th.  Contact Carlisle Visitor Center Senior Naturalist Mary Ewers at to request this program for your classroom or school!
