Azaleas have started around the garden as we hope for drier days to get the spring flowers in the ground. We are still a couple weeks away from the rhododendrons peeking, but the first few are starting to show color. Joining our shade loving shrubs are dogwoods, redbuds, fothergilla, quince and the last of the tulips are in bloom for a short period of time.
The volunteers are working hard on preparing for this year’s plant sale. Among the plants dug are hosta, ferns, astilbe, Lenten rose, phlox, herbs including oregano and chives, coneflower, lily of the valley and more. The sale is Saturday May 21st starting at 9am, no early sales. We hope you can come out and support our volunteers!
