Orchids, Orchids!

With spring slowly making its way into northern Ohio, plants and trees are beginning to come to life.  The orchids at the Miller Nature Preserve Conservatory are noticing that it is spring too.  Many of the plants have blooms or buds on them with a few posted here that may not be as easy as others to see.

BulbophyllumBulbophyllum trigonasepalum ‘D&B Red’ X Bulbophyllum recurvilabre ‘Wagner Orange’ , a hybrid orchid that is now blooming, but since it is darker in color, it may be one that is over looked.

Epidendrum radicans

Epidendrum radicans may not be noticed because the blooms are up so high.

This bloom, Vanilla sp., is open for such a short time, that it may be missed.

Stop by the conservatory to see these blooms, plus more.
