Tis the Season for Maple Sugaring

Although it feels like winter is never going to end, the calendar begs to differ (33 days till spring!) and mid-February means “maple sugaring time” at the Carlisle Visitor Center! In preparation for the beginning of our annual Maple Sugaring program, LCMP Staff & Volunteers (THANK YOU!) have been busy cleaning & organizing the Sugar Shack, maple sugaring equipment, and program materials, and we have tapped 75 & counting of Carlisle Reservation’s sugar maple trees. Cure cabin fever by swinging by the Visitor Center next weekend (22nd & 23rd 10:00am-4:00pm; the first of THREE weekends) to learn about & see first-hand how maple sap becomes sweet, delicious maple syrup!
