Once again, it is time for us to gather and celebrate with family and friends for the end of year holidays. Join us starting this Friday at the Carlisle Visitor Center in LaGrange as we light up the night with our annual Holiday Lights program! Over the years, attending Holiday Lights has become a tradition for many families, as this free program has something for everyone.   Please make time to visit this event with your family that has been called by visitors “inspiring and fun for the family” as well as a “wonderful experience!”  By popular demand, the decorated trail stations along the ½ mile paved loop trail will once again be themed to represent various classic holiday movies.  These stations were conceived and decorated by many creative Lorain County businesses, organizations and agencies. The Little Green Choo Holiday Express will also be running daily; offering rides through another decorated trail display. Inside the Carlisle Visitor Center, refreshments will be offered for a small fee, courtesy of Friends of Metro Parks.  Holiday Lights at the Carlisle Visitor Center in LaGrange takes place this year from November 23 through December 30 (closed December 24 and 25). Hours are 6–9 pm Sundays through Thursdays, and 6–10 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free, but we are asking everyone to bring one, nonperishable food item that will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. For more information, visit us at or call the Carlisle Visitor Center at 440-458-5121.
